The collection of various type plants in the resort.

After spending many years learning about Buddhism’s “Way of Life”, The owner of The Cibodas, decided to build a retreat centre for the Buddhist community. With the collaboration of both the owner and the architect, Kayagata Sati Retreat Centre was established in 2006. This centre is dedicated for the Buddhist community in the full spirit of understanding Buddhism’s “Way of Life”. The operational cost for running and maintaining the centre is fully funded by the owner as it is the part of the Buddhist spirit. Mater Bedroom
The suite, which belongs to the owners, occupies a huge space filled with first grade solid wood furniture. The parquet floor was varnished with solid Merbau wood with polyurethane lack. The furnitures were made solid rare Sonokeling wood. The cozy lounge corner with exquisite designed writing desk bring a new meaning to the resort experience.

This master suite is carefully designed to create warm but organized atmosphere, starting from the bedroom, lounge, till the bathroom.

On the left side of the room, after walking through a wooden bridge, you will find a spacious bathroom complete with first class sanitary-ware and dressing room. The unique washbasin, which was made from 19mm crystal glass, suited the modernity of the bathroom. Another unique feature of the bathroom was the clear ceiling/roof made from clear glass. It reflected a magnificent shadow from the sunlight to the bathroom. Certainly, another green concept coming to reality.

Upper Bedroom
The upper bedroom occupies the second floor of the main villa. It reflects a modern Asian inspired interior. Apart from the two queen size bed, sliding beds underneath them are provided in case more guests occupy the bedroom. Just like the others, this bedrooms also supported by spacious bathroom complete with luxurious sanitary-ware and first class quality furniture.

Meditation Chamber
This particular room is created for the owner’s need for privacy, a sanctuary where he can refresh his mind and synchronize it religiously. The chamber is decorated with priceless genuine antique golden Buddha originated from Thailand. Other priceless items include antique temple bell from Myanmar and two collectible Sun-Ok which stand on modern base. On the corners of the room, antique offering table and beautiful Indian carving cupboard are carefully placed just enough to create serenity on this meditation chamber.

Lower Bedroom
What sets this lower bedroom from the rest is probably the well-designed bathroom equipped with ultra posh sanitary-ware and sliding wardrobe. White Carrara marble was used to cover the wall. Detailed accents by decorative natural sand stone were also used in this bathroom. A giant ceramic vase stood at the corner of the room create a wholesome atmosphere.

The most interesting villa of The Cibodas resort compound belongs to the owner, where the family occupy during their stay. This is indeed the most luxurious part of the whole resort. It has three spacious bedrooms, meditation chamber, kitchen, storage room, indoor garage, as well as several balconies with incredible sight. Each corner and space of the villa are carefully designed and decorated with suitable furniture and ornament. The concrete structural building is integrated with solid wood material to create warm and luxurious atmosphere.

Upon entering this main villa, the fish pond will lead you to the lower bedroom on the ground floor. Walking along the corridor to the lower bedroom, you will experience the effect of the wooden deck floor and the Zen style represented by three huge stone vases. A huge solid volcanic stone, which sits on the corner of the pond, is originated from the natural landscape of the land. Five antique monk statue from Myanmar are placed on one piece of a rare solid square Teakwood. The whole elements create magnificent feel when you walk along the lower ground corridor.

The solid iron wood stairway will lead you to the second floor of the villa. Just before the stairway, a well-hidden washroom represents a modern style fixtures combined with natural elements such as natural stone and one fossil tree. Right on the middle of the stairway, you will find magnificent ceramic rosace covered with natural sand stone which comes from Bali and made by Australian artist. Upon arriving on the second floor, you will find a dramatic scenery created by wonderful effect of the sunlight against the intricate wooden and glass rooftop.

Standing on this balcony, you will experience the splendid landscape scenery . The bench and the table are made from one piece solid rare iron wood. At the end of the day, you can just sit back, relax, and have barbeque party or evening party with family and friends.

Right on the end of the stairway, an amazing view to the centre area with deep fuschia colour will greet you. Right on the middle of the wall, a priceless antique Mandala shape table originated from a temple in Myanmaar was placed. On the middle of the table is another priceless antique Buddha statue made from one piece onyx originated from Myanmar. Win, as the architect, designed the area to satisfy the owner’s religious need and spirit.

The Joglo III is another building in The Cibodas. The building build right by the side of the swimming pool. The rare “Soko Guru” sit in the middle of the building, this is the main support construction. The “Tumpang Sari” at the top of Soko Guru fully carved and real antique collection from the owner. This building has a various feature, like simple spa, pantry area and function room. You can enjoy your massage or jump into the extra huge whirlpool made from natural stone covered with nice mosaic tiles. The function room got a big rectangle table made from solid Teakwood, sure to meet the big events like New Year party, garden party or some gathering.

“Sun Ok” the rare antique offering bowl from Myanmar. Collected by the owner. The antique “Tarif” is a wall panel fully carving from Madurese , part of the Chinese bed and adopted by the Madurese people long time ago. The “Grobog” is an antique chest box from East Java, for storing rice and things in the old days.
